The Studio

38 Pottery Studio is a brand-new, 230 m² pottery studio in Camden, a stone’s throw from Regent’s Canal.

The space was designed by an architecture studio, with four large windows that flood the room with natural light. Four big workbenches sit at the centre, and the wheels, glazing area and kilns each have their own dedicated zone around them, so a group can spread out and work without feeling crammed in. It’s fully equipped with professional facilities, whatever your event needs.

What to expect

Book the studio for your group — birthdays, hen dos, team days, or just a group of friends who want to get muddy together. All sessions are led by professional potters with years of experience across wheel throwing, hand-building and glazing. Tell us what your group wants — a fun, relaxed afternoon, something a bit more serious, a specific thing you’d all like to make — and we’ll shape the session around it.

All materials and firing is included. Your pieces will be ready for collection in about 3–4 weeks.  We can also post them at a fee.

Group size

6 - 20

The space can host groups from 6 to 50 people. However, groups more than 20peoplw need the whole space to work comfortably, so we close to members for your session. There’s an exclusive-use fee on top of the per-person price, and we’ll need a bit more notice to schedule it. See Studio Hire.

Good to know before you book

Catering: For health and safety reasons we don’t allow eating or drinking in the studio — clay dust and food don’t mix. Water bottles with lids are fine. If your event needs catering, tell us when you enquire and we’ll see what can be arranged.

Clothing: Clay and glazes get everywhere — wear something you don’t mind getting messy. We provide aprons. Minimum age 14, under-16s need an adult with them.
